About Phoenix Exchange
Phoenix Exchange is a single-family owned and operated community thrift store in Pleasant Grove, Utah. We are proudly independent — not affiliated with any corporation, religious organization, or government institution.
We started Phoenix Exchange because we saw a need in our community for an affordable, transparent place to find what you need without breaking the bank. We believe that access to clothing, household goods, and everyday essentials shouldn't be a luxury.
Our Purpose
Phoenix Exchange Benefit Co. is organized as a Utah benefit company. Our governing documents commit us to a public benefit purpose, and state law requires us to weigh the effect of our decisions on our community, our customers, our workers, and the environment. This is the purpose stated in our Certificate of Organization:
“It is our goal to help give back to our community by providing a space where people can donate clothing, household items, toys, etc., and have those items be offered back into the community to those that could use them, at little to no cost.”
Certificate of Organization, filed with the Utah Division of Corporations and Commercial Code on October 30, 2025. Entity number 14625502-0169. Approved by our governing persons.
Our Mission
To put people over profit. We keep prices reasonable, offer necessary items for free whenever possible, and ensure that children's clothing is always free — no questions asked. Every dollar that comes through our doors goes back into keeping the store running and serving the community.
Where Your Dollar Goes
We operate on a simple principle: cover expenses, not profits. The money we bring in pays for rent, utilities, and the costs of running the store — nothing more.
When we have a surplus, it goes right back into the community. That might mean stocking more free items, improving the store, or supporting local families in need. We believe in full transparency with how every dollar is used.
